The setting menu is operated by dialing and the Enter key, and operation guide icons are displayed at the bottom of the screen. The hierarchical, easy-to-understand structure provides both multifunctionality and gentle operability.

USB Type-C port

Charging with an USB adapter (approx. 5 hours) or connection to a PC is now possible with only the included USB cable. It can also be recharged with a portable battery charger, so it can be used together with the optional dry cell battery case for long-time field reception.

High Res Color TFT Display

A simple design reminiscent of a measuring instrument is adopted. The numeric keypad is finished smartly with membrane switches, and the screen display uses a 2.0-inch color TFT LCD with 320 x 240 pixels to display various information in a surprisingly easy-to-read manner. FM Broadcasting Monitor

A dedicated IC is used for FM radio reception, allowing users to enjoy FM radio broadcasts when there is no communication. When a signal is received, the radio volume can be automatically lowered to make it easier to hear communications.

Low Current-Consumption SDR

A low-current-consumption DSP is used for demodulation processing of digital and analog signals. The SDR configuration enables various modes of reception by software for both analog and digital signals.

GPS-Receiver Built-in

The GPS receiver is compatible with MICHIBIKI, GALILEO and GLONASS, and the "in-range search" function, which calls up only the memory channels of radio stations whose longitude and latitude are registered in advance.

Utility & Geolocation Software

Utility software for memory, bank, and various function settings and name entry, as well as location display software that allows location information to be overlaid on a map, will be distributed free of charge from the Alinco website. The 12 kHz IF output (W/ N) used by third-party receiver software is also supported.

Capable 999 Memory Channels

The 999-channel memory system supports advanced memory channel operation by registering a wide variety of data, including communication settings, memory names with 14 double-byte characters (28 single-byte characters), location information, and multiple registrations in 26 banks.

Direction & Distance Display

GPS position information and the position information contained in the received data signal are analyzed to display the other party's position and heading. AIS mode (position information transmitted by the vessel in real time) displays the vessel's position, direction of travel, and distance from the receiving location.
