Best Portable Vertical you can get today

I have made over 1000 contacts with this antenna from 4 countries I can set it up in less than 5 minutes, SWR is always low at my tuning point and it all packs up nice and neat into its case It does a great job on 40m with the coil and just as easy to set up. I did add a base for the antenna that I can use for the winter or on asphalt because the ground spike may not be good at -15 degrees Verticals are DX antennas with their low radiation angle It fits in a carry on bag as well making it an ideal choice for travels by air and passes TSA inspection on all my international trips It is heavier due to the solid build quality but easily backpackable for the hike up to the SOTA summit but for the car POTA activators weight is not an issue. The whip has a M10 thread so it wont work with your CB mount unless you get the adapters. I have too many antennas in my shcak and i usually grab this one on the way out to the park as its just so easy to set up fast. Just pull the whip out to the 20m marker and go operate. No tuner making it ideal for the 818/705/891 crowd. 3 years later and no RUST...its that well built and it will last Just give the whip a wipe to dry it if it gets wet and it has survived a -30deg C activation last January for 2 hours with frozen coax. I keep a roll of coax with a choke in the case and a couple of adapters The radials are totally suitable and offer matched SWR for the markings and I did try longer ones with the same results. S I am totally fine with the ones included. Just add some tent pegs The ground spike is very solid and will not bend like my homebrew version but its metric threaded for chinese antennas. They do offer adapters and with that I can skip the base unit on 10m and just use the whip (but the markings wont match up so pull it out to about 8 ft and adjust from there) for a lighter set up. It has survived in 40 mph wind gusts with no damage and on 40m it gave me K3LR and then lots of EU on 10m from the Aruba park If you get this and a a/b switch and the MC-599 then you have multiband vertical and dipole operation covering all bases
