The fan is most definitely NOT whisper quiet! It's actually quite loud and annoying!
Lowest voltage is 7.7 and the highest is 14.47 as measured with my multi-meter. That's not the 9-15 range MFJ declares.
I bought it because of its switchable 120-240 VAC input. I haven't tried it at 240 yet so I can't say how it performs at that voltage.
There are a couple of convenient quick-connectors on the back that will output a total of 5A and the lighter socket on the front puts out 7A. The posts on the front are good for 40A and accept banana plugs, bare wire, and U-connectors, but the caps don't screw all the way off so O-rings are not usable! Funny because MFJ power bars come with O-rings.
MFJ claims the posts to be 5-way, but they're not. The box says it's an "LED Meter", but no, it's two VU meters like in the picture. Maybe they mean LED backlighting for the VU meters? Who knows.
So, the power supply works but it's not the quality I expected. I can deal with little annoyances like the less than accurate description and voltage rating, but the fan noise is hard to ignore and saying it is "whisper quiet" is simply a lie!
Maybe it's a great supply with a terrible user interface? I don't know. But I do know the user interface is terrible enough to give it a low rating.
Just one more thing. I really hate lighter sockets that are too shallow which causes the plug to keep slipping out. This socket is nice and deep. No issue there! It's a great feature to have.
