I put this antenna up (only 25' up, close to a metal roofed building) along with a vertical antenna so I could compare the two. The folded dipole was easy to put up, and has almost flat SWR across all bands! It transmits well and I can be heard at 100 watts. In comparison to the vertical, this has 3 to 5 db better signal (transmitted and received) for within the continent and very low noise so you can hear more signals. The vertical worked a little better only on a few of the Intercontinental DX contacts, but had a lot more noise. As a main antenna, this is my choice, the vertical is useful for some DX contacts. I have used simple dipoles before but I am really impressed with the folded dipole performance - at 100 watts.
